Tears Of The Kingdom Player Finds New Way To Recreate Famous Recall Launch

Jul 22, 2023Jul 22, 2023

While breaking Mach 1.5 was much more complicated, the new pot launch method makes it possible for everyone to reach the heavens.

Tears of the Kingdom fans have been finding new ways to push the game's mechanics to its limits since launch, and many will remember the famous recall launch that became a sensation for breaking the sound barrier. While it was hard to pull that one off, a player has discovered a much easier way to recreate it making it significantly easier than its muse.

In a new post on the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, Redditor e_vac showcases how they managed to achieve the feat. To start off, players need to place a wooden board on the ground and then put a cooking pot right on the edge of the board. Pick up the cooking pot drop it in the same position, and then move the board right at the back of the pot and fuse it. Finally, hop on the board and use recall on the cooking pot. This will raise the board high up in the air, and then jump immediately to launch yourself extremely high up in the air.

The most crucial part of this entire process is timing the jump correctly. The user adds that if players time the jump correctly, they can reach over 1000 units, which is also their own personal record they managed via this method. It is interesting to note that this method works with fans and batteries as well, but apparently, pots are the easiest when it comes to this. As noted by another Redditor, the reason why this works with these three objects is that they align themselves on a single axis while being carried, which causes them to tilt after being dropped.

There has been a race to make Link faster in the game using the mechanics, and the recall launch has been hands down the most effective way to scale vertical distance. The previous method, which propelled Link at 1.5 times the speed of sound, allowed players to reach from the "deepest depths to the highest heavens" and travel as much as 4km. While that was much more complicated to pull off, this new method significantly streamlines the process and makes it possible for literally anyone to reach the skies whenever they want.
