One Piece Odyssey: Accessory Fusing Guide (How to Unlock & Upgrade)

Jul 01, 2023Jul 01, 2023

One Piece Odyssey is a new JRPG in the franchise in which players need to upgrade accessories to bring the Straw Hats gang to their full potential.

As the Straw Hats progress through One Piece Odyssey, they will begin amassing a collection of accessories. Most of these accessories do not have a unique name. These accessories can be used to fuse with others to get better stats on them.

One Piece Odyssey is a new story featuring the One Piece cast. In it, the Straw Hats have found themselves on the Island of Waford. Due to Lim’s interference, everyone has lost their powers and must recover them and their memories throughout the game. As they search for answers, they must also battle enemies and protect each other from harm.

Accessories will allow each of the characters to gain various stat buffs that will help them progress through the game. These items will mainly be found in Red Chests, scattered throughout the various locations. These chests in One Piece Odyssey can also contain usable items and materials. To be able to fuse these accessories, the Straw Hats gang must have already completed Chapter 2, which focuses on Alabasta.

After completing the Alabasta arc, Robin will gain her “Merge” ability back. When the Straw Hats in One Piece Odyssey have traveled back to Adio's home, he and Lim will introduce the players to an old robot named Mukchi, which can fuse accessories together. No other character can operate Mukchi. This also unlocks “Robin’s Mystery Craft” in the menu that appears at taverns and campfires.

Fusing accessories is useful for a number of reasons. For one thing, it clears out the massive inventory of accessories. Keep in mind that the material accessories will be consumed. It also can give additional abilities to the fused accessory. This can allow each party member to receive more buffs than they otherwise would. To fuse accessories, use Robin’s Mystery Craft or Mukchi with a base accessory and a material accessory. Like leveling up in One Piece Odyssey, fusing accessories will increase stats.

Base accessories will have slots open underneath their effects, and those extra slots will get filled with any stat boosts from the material accessory. It does not cost anything, but it will give the non-unique accessories a new purpose. These will be the types of accessories players want to fuse to empower the better accessories.

Keep in mind purple accessories can only be the base, they cannot be consumed in the crafting process. Only one effect transfers from the material to the base. A base must have open slots available for the fusion to work. Leveling up Robin’s ability in One Piece Odyssey is important to build up even better base accessories. The Yoisa Shop can remove effects from accessories, but this will cost money.

There are three outcomes to fusing:

Complete

Just the material accessory buff is added to the base

Success

Slight increase to the stat buff added to the base

Triumph

Double the stat buff added to the base

The Island of Waford in One Piece Odyssey is a mysterious place, but using this ability will be an advantage to anyone hoping to receive additional buffs and bring each character up to their full potential. With every party member fully leveled and loaded with fused accessories, the enemies will stand no chance. This will allow players to complete One Piece Odyssey with more success.
